Kuon? Mother exclaimed.

Main nay un say pocha kay agar Allah nay humayn banaya hay to Allah ko kis nay banaya (I asked the teacher that If God has created us, who has created God)….??? Mother was amazed twice, first with the kind of a question from an eight year old girl and second to find out the treatment of a teacher to a student who stood first in board exams in whole district first time in the history of her school.

When Shahnaz approached Sarah hesitantly, she found her very nice and overwhelming. The two girls when left after a meeting of about 100 mins booth were impressed with each other

November, 1979: Teachers of B.Sc Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry started properly preparing their lectures because of a genius student of their class. They also heard that she stood first in Federal Board F.Sc exams and opted for B Sc while every one wants to go for M.B.B.S.
November, 1979: It’s been 2 days she didn't eat nothing and she was wondering while knowing that she topped in 1st year of F Sc how can her parents force her to get married to someone and they know that she wanted to continue her studies.

October, 1986: Welcome young lady I have been awaiting your arrival since we heard a lot about your hobby of breaking records and collecting medals in South Asia, lets see how would you go in this part of the world I am your PhD supervisor here at Harvard....

March, 2001: It was nice feeling she was everywhere on news after her marvelous scientific discovery and was feeling herself thankful to her parents who provide her with good education, found her the most understanding husband without whom she could not imagined this much success.
May, 2001: After having six children she was worried to keep herself going with the responsibilities she had with continuous deteriorating health and diminishing finances as her husband’s income was limited and so was his interest in his family. In addition she was not allowed to do a job any where because of her husband's so called honor...

20:45 October 29, 2010: Washington DC: I feel myself obliged to my parents who took all the right decisions at right time about my career and then I am again thankful to them about the kind of man they chose for me and without the help of my husband I could never see this day.
It would be unfair if I fail to mention a genius Jhang girl who rightly deviated me from getting into field of medicine and urged me to adopt research, though she was one year junior to me at that time but she did leave a serious impact on my character. I could not find her but I am sure at this moment that she will be serving humanity in some serious capacity with all her genius…. Where ever you are I wish you best of luck, Shahnaz....
09:45 October 29, 2010: Dr! Dr! the patient on maternity ward bed number 3 has expired after delivery of her eighth child and before her death she was screaming “hai maan…hai abbu… tussi mari kiun nahe manni….” Nurse told the doctor. Sad! Dr said, we need to fill her death certificate now… sorry what was the patient’s name……..Shahnaz....

  2. Well this story is worth reading as it tells us that how women are suppressed in our society especially in rural areas...most of the people in our country think that it’s useless for women to study after graduation as they will not be able to find an educated Husband and will end up serving their Families and doing laundry and stuff like that for poor men who are incapable of drinking water themselves.

  3. In this story I have tried to high light a MIND SET just an ignorant mind set dwelling in our very society. We as part of the society got to acknowledge one way or the other that there are n there will be lack of opportunity for the women in our society. This is the unfortunate make up of our society. But what we got to understand that nature can honor any one regardless of its gender with the genius. We must acknowledge this genius by giving it opportunity to help the commoners of humanity. As in the story the genius in the body shell of Miss zaidi was given opportunity and she helped the man kind through sciences.
If we by any chance know any shahnaz around us...please we need to make her parents understand that she is toooo good to die in a hospital helpless....thats it and if this story can save just one shahnaz any where really job is done....
